USS S-1 (SS-105)
The USS S-1 (SS-105) was a United States Navy submarine, part of the S-class, commissioned in 1920. Designed for coastal defense, it was 219 feet long and had a surface displacement of 1,000 tons. The submarine was equipped with four torpedo tubes and could carry a crew of 30 men.
During its service, the USS S-1 conducted training exercises and participated in various naval operations. It was decommissioned in 1924 and later sold for scrap in 1931. The S-class submarines, including the S-1, played a crucial role in the development of submarine technology during the early 20th century.
