USS Paulding (DE-706) History
The USS Paulding (DE-706) was a Buckley-class destroyer escort of the United States Navy, launched on 28 December 1943. Commissioned on 15 April 1944, she served primarily in the Atlantic Theater during World War II, conducting anti-submarine warfare and escort missions.
After the war, the USS Paulding was decommissioned on 15 June 1946 and placed in reserve. She was later reactivated during the Korean War and served until her final decommissioning on 1 July 1960. The ship was ultimately sold for scrap in 1973, concluding her service history.
