USS Neptune (AC-10) History
The USS Neptune (AC-10) was a cargo ship of the United States Navy, launched on March 5, 1943. It was designed to support naval operations during World War II by transporting supplies and equipment. The ship was commissioned on December 15, 1943, and served primarily in the Pacific Theater, contributing to various military campaigns.
After the war, the USS Neptune was decommissioned on June 30, 1946, and later transferred to the Maritime Administration. It was ultimately sold for scrapping in 1970, marking the end of its service in the U.S. Navy.
