The USS Cleveland (CL-55) was a light cruiser of the United States Navy, commissioned in 1943. It was part of the Cleveland-class cruisers, designed for speed and versatility during World War II. The ship was equipped with advanced radar and weaponry, allowing it to engage enemy ships and provide support for amphibious operations. Throughout its service, the USS Cleveland participated in numerous battles in the Pacific Theater, including the Battle of Leyte Gulf.
