USS Charles F. Adams
The USS Charles F. Adams (DDG-2) was a guided missile destroyer of the United States Navy, commissioned in 1960. Named after the 6th President of the United States, John Quincy Adams, the ship was part of the Charles F. Adams-class and served primarily during the Cold War. It was equipped with advanced radar and missile systems, making it a key asset in naval operations.
The destroyer was decommissioned in 1990 after three decades of service. Throughout its operational life, the USS Charles F. Adams participated in various exercises and missions, contributing to maritime security and naval readiness. The ship was eventually sold for scrap in 2004.
