USS Caine (DD-370) History
The USS Caine (DD-370) was a Benson-class destroyer of the United States Navy, launched on March 27, 1944. It was commissioned on December 15, 1944, and served primarily in the Pacific Theater during World War II. The ship was designed for anti-submarine warfare and escort duties, contributing to various naval operations.
After the war, the USS Caine was decommissioned on June 30, 1946. It was later struck from the Naval Vessel Register on January 1, 1971, and ultimately sold for scrap in 1973. The ship earned one battle star for its service during the war.
