USK
USK, or Unterhaltungssoftware Selbstkontrolle, is the German video game content rating system. Established in 1994, it aims to provide age-appropriate guidance for video game players and their guardians. The organization evaluates games based on their content, including violence, language, and themes, assigning ratings that help consumers make informed choices.
The ratings range from USK 0 for suitable content for all ages to USK 18 for adult-only games. This system is similar to other international rating organizations, such as the ESRB in the United States and PEGI in Europe, ensuring that players can enjoy games that match their maturity level.
