UAB Basketball refers to the men's and women's basketball teams representing the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). Both teams compete in NCAA Division I and are part of the Conference USA. The men's team has a rich history, including an NCAA Tournament appearance in 1981 and winning the NIT championship in 1981 and 1982. The UAB Blazers play their home games at the Bartow Arena, which has a seating capacity of approximately 8,500.
