UAAP
The UAAP, or University Athletic Association of the Philippines, is a collegiate sports league in the Philippines. Founded in 1938, it features eight member universities that compete in various sports, including basketball, volleyball, and swimming. The league aims to promote sportsmanship, camaraderie, and athletic excellence among student-athletes.
Each year, the UAAP holds a season where teams compete for championships in different sports. The league is well-known for its intense rivalries, particularly in basketball, where schools like Ateneo de Manila University and University of the East have a storied history. The UAAP also emphasizes the importance of academics alongside athletics.
