Tzimtzum
Tzimtzum is a concept in Kabbalah, a form of Jewish mysticism, that describes the process by which God contracted His infinite light to create space for the universe. This contraction allowed for the existence of a void, enabling the creation of the world and the free will of beings within it.
The idea of Tzimtzum emphasizes the balance between divine presence and absence. It suggests that while God is the source of all creation, the act of withdrawal is essential for the existence of individuality and the material world, allowing for a dynamic relationship between the divine and creation.
