Tzaddik
A "Tzaddik" is a term in Judaism that refers to a righteous person or a saintly individual who is deeply committed to following the commandments of Torah. Tzaddikim (plural) are often seen as spiritual leaders and are believed to have a special connection to God. They serve as role models for others in their community, embodying ethical behavior and devotion.
In the context of Hasidic Judaism, the Tzaddik is also viewed as a spiritual guide who can intercede on behalf of others. Followers often seek their wisdom and blessings, believing that the Tzaddik's righteousness can bring about healing and divine favor.
