Typhoon-class Submarine
The Typhoon-class submarine is a class of nuclear-powered ballistic missile submarines developed by the former Soviet Union. Designed for stealth and endurance, these submarines can carry up to 20 intercontinental ballistic missiles, specifically the RSM-52. They are among the largest submarines ever built, measuring about 175 meters in length.
These submarines are primarily used by the Russian Navy and serve as a key component of its nuclear deterrent strategy. The Typhoon-class features advanced sonar and weapon systems, allowing it to operate effectively in various maritime environments while remaining hidden from enemy detection.
