Typhoon-Class Submarine
The Typhoon-Class Submarine is a class of nuclear-powered submarines developed by the former Soviet Union. Designed for strategic deterrence, these submarines can carry up to 20 intercontinental ballistic missiles, specifically the R-39 Rif. They are among the largest submarines ever built, measuring about 175 meters in length.
These submarines are equipped with advanced stealth technology, allowing them to operate undetected in the ocean. The Typhoon-Class plays a crucial role in the naval capabilities of the Russian Navy, providing a significant second-strike capability in the event of a nuclear conflict.
