Types of Coffee
There are several popular types of coffee, each with unique preparation methods and flavors. Espresso is a concentrated coffee brewed by forcing hot water through finely-ground coffee beans. Americano is made by diluting espresso with hot water, resulting in a milder taste. Latte combines espresso with steamed milk and a small amount of foam, while Cappuccino features equal parts espresso, steamed milk, and foam.
Other types include Macchiato, which is espresso topped with a small amount of milk or foam, and Mocha, a chocolate-flavored variant of a latte. Cold brew is made by steeping coarsely ground coffee in cold water for an extended period, producing a smooth, less acidic drink.
