Type-AB
Type-AB is a classification of blood type in the ABO blood group system. It is characterized by the presence of both A and B antigens on the surface of red blood cells. Individuals with Type-AB blood can receive blood from all other ABO types, making them universal recipients.
People with Type-AB blood can donate to other AB individuals but are limited in their donation options. This blood type is relatively rare, occurring in about 4% of the population. Understanding blood types is crucial for safe blood transfusions and organ transplants, as compatibility can prevent serious medical complications.
