Turtledoves
Turtledoves are small, migratory birds belonging to the Columbidae family, which includes pigeons. They are known for their gentle cooing sounds and slender bodies, typically featuring a soft gray-brown plumage. Turtledoves are often found in open woodlands, gardens, and farmlands across Europe, Asia, and Africa.
These birds are famous for their monogamous behavior, often forming strong pair bonds that last for life. During the breeding season, turtledoves build nests in trees or shrubs, where they lay two eggs. Their diet mainly consists of seeds, grains, and fruits, making them important for seed dispersal in their habitats.
