Turkish football league
The Turkish football league, officially known as the Süper Lig, is the top professional football division in Turkey. Established in 1959, it features 18 teams competing annually for the championship title. The league operates on a promotion and relegation system with the TFF 1. Lig, the second tier of Turkish football.
The Süper Lig is known for its passionate fan base and intense rivalries, particularly the matches between Galatasaray, Fenerbahçe, and Beşiktaş, known as the "Big Three." The league has produced many talented players and has a significant following both domestically and internationally.
