Tung Chee-hwa
Tung Chee-hwa is a prominent Hong Kong businessman and politician who served as the first Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region from 1997 to 2002. He played a significant role in the transition of Hong Kong from British to Chinese sovereignty, overseeing the implementation of the "one country, two systems" principle.
Before entering politics, Tung was a successful shipping magnate and co-founder of the Orient Overseas Container Line. After his tenure as Chief Executive, he continued to be involved in various public service roles, including serving as vice-chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference.
