Tubbataha Reefs
The Tubbataha Reefs are a UNESCO World Heritage Site located in the Sulu Sea, Philippines. This marine park covers approximately 97,030 hectares and is known for its stunning coral reefs, diverse marine life, and clear waters. It consists of two atolls and a large lagoon, making it a vital habitat for various species, including sea turtles and sharks.
Established in 1988, the Tubbataha Reefs Natural Park is a protected area that promotes conservation and sustainable tourism. The reefs are home to over 600 species of fish and 360 species of coral, making it one of the most biodiverse marine ecosystems in the world.
