Tsushima leopard cat
The Tsushima leopard cat is a small wild cat native to Tsushima Island in Japan. It is a subspecies of the Leopard cat and is known for its distinctive spotted coat, which helps it blend into its forest habitat. This cat typically weighs between 3 to 5 kilograms and has a body length of about 50 to 70 centimeters.
These cats are primarily nocturnal and are skilled hunters, preying on small mammals, birds, and insects. The Tsushima leopard cat is classified as endangered due to habitat loss and declining population numbers, making conservation efforts crucial for its survival.
