Tsitsernakaberd
Tsitsernakaberd is the Armenian Genocide Memorial Complex located in Yerevan, Armenia. It was inaugurated in 1967 to honor the memory of the 1.5 million Armenians who perished during the genocide from 1915 to 1923. The site features a towering monument and a museum that educates visitors about the historical events and their impact on the Armenian people.
The memorial is situated on a hill overlooking the city, providing a serene environment for reflection. Each year, on April 24, Armenians gather at Tsitsernakaberd to commemorate the victims, making it a significant site for remembrance and national identity.
