Tsampouna
Tsampouna is a traditional Greek musical instrument, often associated with the Aegean islands. It is a type of bagpipe made from a goat or sheep skin, with a wooden chanter and drone pipes. The instrument produces a rich, melodic sound and is commonly used in folk music, especially during celebrations and festivals.
The Tsampouna is played by blowing air into the bag, which then passes through the chanter to create music. It is often accompanied by other instruments, such as the lyra or lute, and is an important part of the cultural heritage of regions like Crete and the Dodecanese islands.
