Trumpet Vine
The Trumpet Vine, also known as Campsis radicans, is a vigorous climbing plant native to the southeastern United States. It features large, trumpet-shaped flowers that are typically orange or red, attracting hummingbirds and other pollinators. The vine can grow up to 30 feet long and is often used in gardens for its ornamental value.
This plant thrives in full sun and well-drained soil, making it a popular choice for trellises, fences, and arbors. While it is relatively low-maintenance, Trumpet Vine can become invasive if not properly managed, spreading quickly and overtaking nearby plants.
