Tropical Kingbird
The Tropical Kingbird is a medium-sized bird found primarily in Central and South America, as well as parts of the southern United States. It is easily recognizable by its bright yellow belly, olive-green back, and distinctive black crown. This bird typically inhabits open areas, such as fields and edges of forests, where it can often be seen perched on wires or low branches.
Tropical Kingbirds are known for their aggressive behavior, especially during the breeding season. They feed mainly on insects and small fruits, using their sharp eyesight to spot prey from a distance. Their loud, distinctive calls can often be heard in their habitats, making them a familiar presence in the regions they occupy.
