Tropical Air Mass
A tropical air mass is a large body of air that forms over warm regions, typically near the equator. These air masses are characterized by high temperatures and high humidity, which can lead to warm and moist weather conditions. They often influence the climate of nearby areas, bringing warm temperatures and precipitation.
Tropical air masses can be classified into two types: maritime tropical (mT), which forms over oceans, and continental tropical (cT), which forms over land. The movement of these air masses can significantly impact weather patterns, contributing to phenomena such as thunderstorms and tropical storms.
