Trollstigen
Trollstigen, or the "Troll's Path," is a famous mountain road in Norway known for its steep inclines and hairpin bends. It was opened in 1936 and is part of the Romsdalen valley, offering stunning views of the surrounding mountains and waterfalls. The road is a popular tourist attraction, especially during the summer months when it is fully accessible.
The route features a series of 11 hairpin turns, making it a challenging drive. At the top, visitors can enjoy a viewing platform that overlooks the dramatic landscape, including the Stigfossen waterfall. Trollstigen is also part of the larger Geirangerfjord UNESCO World Heritage site.
