The Triomphant class is a series of nuclear-powered submarines used by the French Navy. Designed for strategic deterrence, these submarines are equipped with ballistic missiles, allowing them to carry out long-range missions while remaining stealthy underwater. Each Triomphant class submarine can carry up to 16 M51 ballistic missiles, which are capable of delivering nuclear warheads. The class includes four submarines, named Le Triomphant, Le Téméraire, Le Vigilant, and Le Terrible, all of which play a crucial role in France's nuclear deterrent strategy.
