Triggerfish
Triggerfish are colorful marine fish belonging to the family Balistidae. They are known for their distinctive shape, with a laterally compressed body and a prominent forehead. Triggerfish are found in warm, tropical waters around coral reefs, where they feed on a diet of invertebrates, such as crustaceans and mollusks.
These fish are named for their unique dorsal fin, which has a "trigger" mechanism that allows them to lock the fin in an upright position for protection. Some species, like the Clown Triggerfish, are popular in the aquarium trade due to their vibrant colors and interesting behavior.
