Tree Kangaroo
The tree kangaroo is a unique marsupial native to the rainforests of New Guinea and surrounding islands. Unlike their ground-dwelling relatives, tree kangaroos are adapted for life in the trees, with strong limbs and a long tail for balance. They primarily feed on leaves, fruits, and flowers, using their sharp claws to climb and navigate through the branches.
Tree kangaroos are generally solitary animals, though they may be seen in small groups. They have a distinctive appearance, with a stocky body, short legs, and a thick fur coat that helps them blend into their forest environment. Conservation efforts are ongoing to protect their habitats from deforestation and hunting.
