Treblinka II was a Nazi extermination camp located in occupied Poland during World War II. It operated from July 1942 until October 1943 and was part of the Operation Reinhard plan, which aimed to eliminate the Jewish population in Poland. The camp was designed to kill large numbers of people quickly, primarily through gas chambers.
At Treblinka II, an estimated 800,000 to 1,200,000 Jews were murdered, making it one of the deadliest camps of the Holocaust. The camp was disguised as a transit facility to deceive victims, who were often told they were being relocated. After the war, the site was largely dismantled to erase evidence of the atrocities committed there.
