Treaty of Teschen
The Treaty of Teschen was signed on May 13, 1779, to end the conflict between the Austrian Empire and Prussia over the region of Silesia. This treaty concluded the War of the Bavarian Succession, which arose from disputes over territorial claims in Bavaria. The agreement established a peaceful resolution, with both sides agreeing to recognize each other's territorial claims.
Under the terms of the treaty, Prussia retained control of Silesia, which it had acquired during the Silesian Wars. The treaty also marked a significant moment in European diplomacy, as it demonstrated the importance of negotiations in resolving conflicts between major powers in the 18th century.
