Treaty Of Paris
The Treaty of Paris refers to several agreements that ended various conflicts, but the most notable one was signed in 1783, concluding the American Revolutionary War. This treaty recognized the independence of the thirteen American colonies from British rule and established borders for the new nation.
Another significant Treaty of Paris was signed in 1898, ending the Spanish-American War. This agreement resulted in Spain relinquishing control over territories such as Puerto Rico, Guam, and the Philippines to the United States, marking a shift in colonial power in the Americas and the Pacific.
