Transformatoren
Transformatoren, or transformers, are electrical devices that change the voltage of alternating current (AC) in power systems. They work on the principle of electromagnetic induction, allowing electricity to be transmitted over long distances efficiently. By increasing voltage for transmission and decreasing it for safe use, transformers play a crucial role in the electricity distribution network.
These devices consist of two or more coils of wire, known as windings, wrapped around a core. The primary winding receives the input voltage, while the secondary winding delivers the output voltage. Transformers are essential in various applications, including power plants, substations, and household appliances.
