Transcontinental Airlines
Transcontinental Airlines was a major American airline that operated from 1946 until 1991. It was known for providing domestic and international flights, connecting various cities across the United States and beyond. The airline played a significant role in the growth of air travel during the post-World War II era.
In 1986, Transcontinental Airlines merged with Continental Airlines, which helped expand its route network and improve services. The combined airline continued to operate under the Continental brand, eventually becoming part of the larger United Airlines after a merger in 2010.
