Transat Jacques Vabre
The Transat Jacques Vabre is a biennial sailing race that takes place between France and Brazil. Established in 1993, it is named after the French coffee brand Jacques Vabre. The race features teams of two sailors who compete in various classes of boats, including the popular Class40 and Imoca 60.
Starting from the port of Le Havre, the race covers approximately 4,350 nautical miles across the Atlantic Ocean. It typically attracts a mix of professional and amateur sailors, showcasing their skills in navigating challenging conditions while promoting the spirit of ocean racing.
