Total Depravity is a theological concept primarily associated with Reformed theology and the Calvinist tradition. It suggests that, as a result of the Fall of Man, every aspect of humanity—mind, will, emotions, and flesh—is affected by sin. This means that people are incapable of choosing God or doing good without divine intervention.
According to this doctrine, while individuals can perform morally good actions, these actions are ultimately tainted by sin. Total Depravity emphasizes the need for grace and salvation through Jesus Christ, as humans cannot achieve righteousness on their own.
