Tosk Albanians
Tosk Albanians are one of the two main subgroups of the Albanian people, primarily residing in the southern regions of Albania. They speak the Tosk dialect of the Albanian language, which is distinct from the Gheg dialect spoken in the northern regions. Tosk Albanians have a rich cultural heritage, including traditional music, dance, and folklore.
Historically, Tosk Albanians have played a significant role in the political and social development of Albania. They were influential during the National Awakening in the 19th century and contributed to the establishment of the modern Albanian state. Today, they continue to maintain their unique cultural identity while being part of the broader Albanian society.
