Tomb of Richard III
The Tomb of Richard III is the final resting place of King Richard III, who ruled England from 1483 until his death in 1485. After his defeat at the Battle of Bosworth Field, his remains were buried in an unmarked grave at the Greyfriars Church in Leicester. In 2012, archaeologists discovered his skeleton, leading to a reinterment in 2015 at Leicester Cathedral.
The tomb is designed to honor Richard III's legacy and features a stone slab with an inscription that reflects his life and reign. It serves as a historical site, attracting visitors interested in the Wars of the Roses and English history.
