Todiidae
Todiidae is a family of small, insectivorous birds found primarily in the Caribbean and parts of Central and South America. These birds are known for their vibrant plumage and distinctive calls. They typically inhabit forests and woodlands, where they forage for insects and other small invertebrates.
The family consists of several species, commonly referred to as todies. Todies are characterized by their short, stout bodies, large heads, and long, pointed bills. They are often seen perched on branches, where they wait to catch prey in mid-air or glean insects from foliage.
