Titan II
The Titan II was a two-stage, liquid-fueled rocket developed by the United States in the 1960s. It was primarily used for launching military satellites and for the Gemini space program, which aimed to develop human spaceflight capabilities. The Titan II was notable for its powerful engines and ability to carry heavy payloads into orbit.
In addition to its role in space exploration, the Titan II served as an intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) during the Cold War. It was designed to deliver nuclear warheads and was part of the U.S. strategic deterrent force. The Titan II program was retired in the early 1980s, replaced by more advanced missile systems.
