Tissue Transfer
Tissue transfer is a surgical technique used to move tissue from one part of the body to another. This procedure can involve skin, muscle, or fat and is often performed to repair injuries, reconstruct defects, or improve aesthetics. The transferred tissue may retain its blood supply or be reconnected to blood vessels at the new site.
There are two main types of tissue transfer: local flaps, where tissue is moved from nearby areas, and free flaps, where tissue is taken from a distant site and reattached. Both methods aim to restore function and appearance while minimizing complications.
