Tint Percentage
Tint percentage refers to the level of darkness or lightness in a tinted window film, expressed as a percentage. A lower percentage indicates darker tinting, while a higher percentage means lighter tinting. For example, a 5% tint allows only 5% of visible light to pass through, making it very dark, whereas a 50% tint allows half of the light to enter.
Tint percentage is important for both aesthetic and functional reasons. Darker tints can provide more privacy and reduce glare from sunlight, while lighter tints can still offer some UV protection without significantly obstructing visibility. Many regions have legal limits on tint percentages for vehicle windows to ensure safety.
