Tim LaHaye was an American pastor, author, and speaker, best known for co-authoring the popular Left Behind series, which explores a fictional account of the end times based on Christian eschatology. Born on April 27, 1926, in Detroit, Michigan, he became a prominent figure in evangelical circles and wrote numerous books on Christian living and prophecy. In addition to his writing, LaHaye was a co-founder of the Pre-Tribulation Research Center, which focuses on the study of the rapture and the second coming of Jesus Christ. He also served as a senior pastor and was involved in various Christian organizations throughout his life. LaHaye passed away on July 25, 2021.
