Ticonderoga-Class Cruisers
The Ticonderoga-Class Cruisers are a class of guided-missile cruisers used by the United States Navy. They are designed for multi-role missions, including air defense, surface warfare, and anti-submarine operations. Equipped with the Aegis Combat System, these cruisers can track and engage multiple targets simultaneously, making them vital for naval fleet protection.
Launched in the 1980s, the Ticonderoga-class features advanced radar and weapon systems, including vertical launch systems for missiles. With a displacement of around 9,600 tons, they are capable of operating in various environments and are often deployed alongside aircraft carriers and other naval vessels to enhance maritime security.
