Tiahuanaco
Tiahuanaco is an ancient archaeological site located near the southern shore of Lake Titicaca in Bolivia. It was a significant cultural and political center for the Tiwanaku civilization, which thrived from around 300 AD to 1000 AD. The site features impressive stone structures, including the Puma Punku and the Akapana pyramid, showcasing advanced engineering and architectural skills.
The Tiwanaku civilization is known for its agricultural innovations, such as raised-field farming, which allowed them to sustain a large population. The site is also rich in religious and ceremonial significance, with numerous monoliths and carvings that reflect their beliefs and social organization.
