Throbbing Gristle
Throbbing Gristle was a British band formed in 1975, known for pioneering the genre of industrial music. The group consisted of members Genesis P-Orridge, Cosey Fanni Tutti, Chris Carter, and Peter Christopherson. They combined experimental sounds, performance art, and provocative themes, challenging conventional music norms.
The band released several influential albums, including Second Annual Report and 20 Jazz Funk Greats. Their work often featured harsh noise, tape manipulation, and unconventional song structures. Throbbing Gristle disbanded in 1981 but left a lasting impact on various music genres and inspired many artists in the underground scene.
