Thomas Adams (Businessman)
Thomas Adams was an American businessman best known for his role in the chewing gum industry. He is credited with popularizing chewing gum in the United States during the late 19th century. Adams initially experimented with chicle, a natural gum from the sapodilla tree, and eventually created the first successful commercial chewing gum, which he marketed under the brand name Chiclets.
