Thirty-Second Amendment
The Thirty-Second Amendment to the United States Constitution is not an actual amendment. As of October 2023, there are only 27 ratified amendments. The numbering of amendments can sometimes lead to confusion, but the most recent amendment, the Twenty-Seventh Amendment, was ratified in 1992.
Amendments to the Constitution are proposed changes that require a two-thirds majority in both houses of Congress and ratification by three-fourths of the states. This process ensures that any changes reflect a broad consensus among the American people and their representatives.
