Third Order of Saint Dominic
The Third Order of Saint Dominic, also known as the Dominican Laity, is a branch of the Order of Preachers founded by Saint Dominic in the early 13th century. It allows laypeople to live out the Dominican charism in their daily lives while remaining in the secular world. Members commit to prayer, study, and service, following the teachings of the Catholic Church.
This order emphasizes the importance of preaching and teaching the faith, encouraging members to engage in apostolic work within their communities. The Third Order is open to all baptized Catholics who seek to deepen their spiritual life and contribute to the mission of the Church.
