Theudis
Theudis was a king of the Visigoths who ruled from approximately 531 to 548 AD. He is notable for being the first Visigothic king to convert to Christianity, specifically Arianism, which was a significant shift for the predominantly pagan tribe. His reign marked a period of consolidation and expansion for the Visigothic kingdom in the Iberian Peninsula.
During his rule, Theudis focused on strengthening the kingdom's political structure and military power. He is credited with establishing alliances and promoting trade, which helped to stabilize the region. His leadership laid the groundwork for the future development of the Visigothic state in what is now modern-day Spain.
